From morning until dusk on a refreshing morning in August, my camera sat on a worn out kitchen ledge and I snapped. 472 frames.
Early sunrise streaming in the kitchen window? Check.
The pitter patter of 12 feet running downstairs for raspberry cream cheese french toast? Check.
Floor sweeping and dish duty? Check.
Rocksmith. Snuggles with mom. Crafting with felt. Pretend swords. Check. Check. Check. Check.
I knew my friends lived in the middle of nowhere but ya’ll, you can’t even see any houses from their yard. You have to drive on a long dirt road to even reach their home. Their rustic all-wood cabin is situated on land that was an orchard years ago. It’s lush, the air is crisp, and on a cool summer day, it’s as close to heaven as I can get. To be fair, I will mention that winters SUCK and that the UPS guy HATES them. We all know you can’t have it all, right?
If this doesn’t make you want to have a big family, I’m not sure what does.
