These are quite possibly my favorite set of images I’ve ever taken. They aren’t technically perfect but the represent a trip that means so much. In a nutshell, this is what went down:
- A 1,300 mile journey over 9 days.
- A mom (that’s ME) and her two boys.
- An over night stay at 4 different homes.
- A total Facebook holiday for mom.
- A visit with great grandparents, friends, and relatives.
- A photo “retreat” that focused on film photos.
I look forward to the day where I can share these with my sons. The biking, the ice cream, the movies. I’m so grateful I can document our days together in such a special way. Technical details: The images below were taken with a Canon EOS-1N on Kodak Ultramax 400, Portra 400, Portra 160, Kodak BW400CN, and expired Fugi 200. Film developed and scanned at theFINDlab.
If these images connect with you, then we should really chat about scheduling a story telling session for your family. Email me at email@example.com for details. Stay tuned, later this week, I have a blog post that will explain exactly how I managed this on my own, with this one item being the key.
