It was the afternoon photographers dream of: sunny, blue skies, not too warm. We texted back and forth: it was a go despite the possible forecast of rain. What summer day doesn’t warn of “possible afternoon thunderstorms”? We all met at the cozy little city park that was the perfect location for us.
And then it RAINED. It POURED. The sky fell out and there were rivers of water surrounding my car. I drove to Krispy Kreme to get a snack because I wanted to “stay in the area” just in case. (Good rationale, right?) Needless to say, we decided a session in the morning would be better than a very, very wet session.
What a blessing to work with such an accommodating family. We found our top secret “plan B” location. The girls arrived with their family in tow, giggling & goofing off, more than ready to be my models. Granddad had a big grin as he patiently stood, resting on his cane. No one complained about the oppressive heat. And we created beautiful images of this fabulous family!
And as a bonus in this feature, check out the awesome wall displays that are now hanging in these families homes! Aren’t they fabulous?
