Traveling has been on a bit of a hiatus as of late. Although we pack pretty light with a baby (all things considered) something about packing carseat, diapers, tiny baby socks, and onesies that leaves me wanting to just hang on the couch. But for Thanksgiving, we braved the airport with little man and headed to Kansas.
I won’t lie. I was excited to see the PEOPLE in Kansas, but I was rather ambivalent about Kansas itself. I was expecting flat, cold, and dreary. You’d think I’d have learned by now not to be so closed minded about new places.
But holy, moly, Kansas is freaking gorgeous!
Our lovely hosts made sure we got plenty of outside time in the charming “little Apple,” known properly as Manhattan, Kansas. On our last night, we visited KSU’s Konza Prarie Biological Station. During the golden hour and watching the sunset. I could barely keep up with everyone because I was so drawn to the beauty.
