Dear little girls,

I melted when I heard your teeny, tiny voices and felt your teeny, tiny hands in mine last Sunday. I melted when you asked me, “No, I want to hold your hand!”, “Where are we, Jess?”, “Can we please go over THERE now?”, “Can’t I press that button one more time?”.

What I’ve loved about getting to know you is that you are genuine. You’re not afraid to dress up as Spiderman for Halloween, you’re not worried about getting dirty in the grass, and you’re certainly not afraid to be silly.

May the three of you always be so true to yourselves, the world needs more of that.

Hugs, Jess

P.S. And thanks for not always following directions. Although I wouldn’t necessarily print this image on a canvas and put it over the mantle, it’s still makes me giggle every time.

This beautiful session was photographed at Historic Oak View Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s one of my favorite places to take families because a) it’s a farmstead, b) it allows kids to run freely in complete safety, and c) it has fake cow you can milk. Send me an email at jess@jessrotenberg.com for more information about a session with your family!
